Evaluation

I felt that with the research side of my project, I could have gone a little deeper into detailed research. Especially concerning the artists that I researched prior to creating my images. However, in this situation, I already had a good idea of what I was imagining my images be like. But I understand that researching artists is important as I can see what ideas I could interpret into my own. 

I was very happy with my design of my brochure. I felt like the entire publication had consistency when it came to colour, structure and ease of reading. However, I did feel like one of my pages could have been better. The page with the welcome information was a little bland. I felt like it lacked something, but I really struggled to come up with an idea of what I could do with it. So in the end I decided to leave it and have something that worked somewhat compared to something that was to overcrowded with half-hearted and empty ideas.

I was very happy with my images. I felt like exactly what I was imagining at the beginning of my project is something that I have achieved in my creations. I especially like my image for event one (the magic show) because of the inclusion of colour. I really like using brush strokes over paths created in Photoshop using swirls to highlight the important information within the image. I used this in three of the four images as I felt that this one had too much in the image already so I made this one much simpler.

Overall, I am very happy with my project as I feel like what I initially thought of at the start, I have managed to create in InDesign and Photoshop. I am very pleased with my brochure.
